@LUQY4LYF I loved the HTC Desire, but I was blown away by handling the Galaxy S2. I particularly like the space they allocate to apps so I wouldn’t have to keep uninstalling just to try new apps like I do now. It was quick and it would be nice to have that much onboard memory. I like the Sense UI but Touch Wiz is as good – I won’t miss it. I don’t think HTC is the top dog anymore, although I hate to say it. I always go for functionality over the cool factor and Samsung have excelled themselves.
I have pre-ordered my Galaxy S II!
@cerion76 i cant decide between the samsung galaxy s 2 and the htc sensation but been told the galaxy s 2 is awesum and better performance from the htc this time??
Hi, I’m Nixc’s wife (dodgy eye-sight girl). He edited out the bits where I was zooming in and out to see how the text reflowed! I like to write, hence I was constantly testing the word processing on these gadgets. I liked the Iconia but the shape of the keyboard makes it easier – but of course you can’t feel it on here. Having the old Desire I was looking for a new phone. I wrote A Simpler Guide to the best free Android Apps, on Kindle. Please check it out, if you are looking at getting Android.
@nixc thanks for the info. im on vodafone & due an upgrade so i’ll probably get it. i have desire & gf has desire z. love htc but need a change. samsung have a 2ghz dual core processor coming out either late this year or early next year.

The new dell phone has a really big screen, but I guess it comes down to the light and definition quality.
(PS. that OLED screen was incredible, technology is racing forward)
@TheCrazyfruitbat we thought the S2 was pretty special actually, it felt surprisingly light and not in the least bit tacky like some reviews have said. we both have HTC Desires and the S2 completely whips it. The guys on the Samsung stand said they were getting at least 1.5 days out of the battery too which is impressive for a phone with a screen that big! Looks like it’s coming in at £500 so it’s going to be a bit pricey…
@Zero7evenX sadly my lovely wife’s eyes can’t be helped with glasses – that’s why she wants a phone with such a huge screen! will be very jealous when she gets one
@MagickalMike LOL, I was going say that someone should tell her to go to the opticians, i think I need glasses and she was leaning in twice the distance i normally do =D
She did have a particular finesse with the gadgets though.
Why is the lady’s face like 6 inches away from the screen on the Galaxy S II? Does she not see how HUGE the screen is? I can read everything crisp & clear from the point of view of the cameraman, why can’t she? lol.

@nixc yeah it was all about 3d tv which was cool but everything else was about stuff thats already out lol. this year seems more about whats coming out. the samsung galaxy s2, i thinking about getting, whats your opinion on it from what you saw?. is gadget show over now?
@TheCrazyfruitbat yeah i agree, this year was much better, i think perhaps last year the manufacturers didn’t treat the show as an arena for showing off their new kit, and there was far too much emphasis on “3D”
