LG OLED TV Coming next month

The LG OLED TV will be in stores starting in May. The tentative price for the LG EL9500 seems to be in the $3000 range.

There are also rumors that a 22 inch LG OLED TV will be out before Christmas. No specs or pricing on this model yet.

While 3D TV is getting a lot of attention in Las Vegas this week, there are new OLED TV models expected.

The rumours are that Sony may introduce an OLED TV larger than the XEL-1, perhaps a 27″ model.

Samsung has a 14″ OLED TV on display.

LG has a 15″ OLED on display and there’s talk of a much larger model coming soon.

Sony XEL-1 OLED TV – video demo of sample photos and music

The Sony XEL-1 OLED TV has a couple of sample photos and some fairly uninspiring tunes to give you an idea of what you can do with images and music on a Memory Stick plugged into the back of the XEL-1. The sound quality is pretty darn good and the images can’t possibly be reproduced accurately online.

DuPont and Dainippon Screen Sign OLED TV Manufacturing Deal

Here’s the good news for OLED TV fans this week;

Dainippon Screen Manufacturing Company and American chemical company DuPont will be putting their heads together in a joint effort to develop low cost manufacturing methods for producing large size OLED panels for next-gen flat-panel TV’s. Dainippon Screen claims it has developed a nozzle printing technology that’ll print OLED panels at very high speeds, and with DuPont’s help hopes to have a manufacturing process for 32-inch panels ready for launch in sometime in 2010.
